I am Eric Glover, the creator of this site and the leader of the Doubtless Living Bible study group at ClearView Baptist Church in Franklin, Tennessee. I am married to Tina Glover and we have two grown children and one wonderful grandson. I have taught Bible study classes to adults of all ages for more than 25 years and teaching God’s Word is one of my greatest passions in life. I am an ordained Southern Baptist minister and I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I have served churches in many capacities over the years, but I am called by God to teach His Word and that is what I love doing most of all. Professionally, I serve as the Vice President of Retail Operations for LifeWay Christian Stores, one of the largest Christian retailers in the world with 160 stores across America. I have a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Missouri Southern State University. I am also a Certified Public Accountant, although I have not practiced public accounting for many years.

What do you enjoy doing most in life right now? What activity brings you the purest natural joy? For some of you that might be spending time with your kids or grandkids, for others it might involve traveling and exploring the world, and for others it might involve the pursuit of a hobby or sport. Whatever it might be, it is almost certainly some form of natural joy.
In this our second study in the series on the fruit of the Spirit, we turn our focus to joy. But not just any joy, supernatural joy! Joy of the Spirit. What exactly is supernatural joy and how is it different from natural joy, you might be asking. What is God’s source of joy? What brings Him the greatest amount of satisfaction and delight? Why does it matter, you ask, can we ever hope to have that kind of joy in our life?
God manifests Himself in us through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit and we are a new creation as a result (2 Cor. 5:17). The Holy Spirit is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until our eternal redemption (Eph. 1:14). So, the fruit of that relationship should be reflected in us! Supernatural joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit, therefore it should be manifested in us and through us to the world.
How do we cultivate, grow, harvest and share supernatural joy? That is the focus of our study this week. You can view the video of this session by following this link to our YouTube channel.
