I am Eric Glover, the creator of this site and the leader of the Doubtless Living Bible study group at ClearView Baptist Church in Franklin, Tennessee. I am married to Tina Glover and we have two grown children and one wonderful grandson. I have taught Bible study classes to adults of all ages for more than 25 years and teaching God’s Word is one of my greatest passions in life. I am an ordained Southern Baptist minister and I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I have served churches in many capacities over the years, but I am called by God to teach His Word and that is what I love doing most of all. Professionally, I serve as the Vice President of Retail Operations for LifeWay Christian Stores, one of the largest Christian retailers in the world with 160 stores across America. I have a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Missouri Southern State University. I am also a Certified Public Accountant, although I have not practiced public accounting for many years.

According to Merriam-Webster, a peacemaker is one who makes peace, especially by reconciling parties at variance. Do you know anyone who fits that description? Do you have any peacemakers in your family? If so, then you know the value that they bring to the table.
Like many of you, we just celebrated Thanksgiving in our home with our family. It was a joyous occasion all around. We love having our kids and grandkids around and we had a house full of them for the past few days. In total, we had six adults and five kids crammed into our house for several days, including three babies that are teething. Need I say more?
Seriously though, it was hard to find peace and quiet anywhere in the house. If one of the babies wasn’t fussy then one of the adults was. But hey, we’re all human and we all want our way and sometimes those wants collide and disrupt the peace. That’s when we’re thankful for the peacemaker, who “reconciles parties at variance.”
But regardless of their skill, the peace is often temporary. It last for a while but then something else crops up to cause dissonance. Can you relate?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have sustained peace, life without friction and strife? The kind of peace that never goes away, the kind of peace that surpasses understanding. The kind of peace that triumphs over fear and anxiety. The kind of peace that is undaunted by circumstances or loyalties. Is that even possible you ask?
It is indeed! How do we get it? How do we keep it? How do we share it? Join us for our study tomorrow and find out. I promise not to make you wait too long for the answer, and if that bothers you then you will surely want to tune in next week too…
