Okay, now tell me the meaning of all that gibberish. I doubt there’s a single person reading this post who hasn’t sung those words at some point in their lifetime. But what’s the purpose, other than taunting your adversary? Take a gander at the series of pictures shown above and tell me what they all have in common and that will give you the answer.
Figured it out yet? If not, concentrate on the basketball goal at the top center, see anything special about that backboard? See that fine red, glowing line around the edges? What does that symbolize? You guessed it; time has expired! Game over! No chance to change the score or the outcome now. The results are now permanently etched in the records book and the results are final.
Someone won, and someone lost. There were key turning points in the game, critical mistakes made that altered the outcome. And for some, the rally came too little too late. As much as we might like to see the game replayed, it won’t be. The rules are the rules; times up, game over.
